What is PM Awas Yojana Urban?
The PM Awas Yojana Urban was set to provide loans to people based on their income and affordable housing options to all residents of cities, mainly those who live in poor neighborhoods. This initiative mainly targets people from the Economically Weaker Sections and Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) section of the state.
For all the citizens who do not have their pucca house, the government will provide an interest subsidy of 6.5% (for EWS and LIG), 4% for MIG-I, and 3% for MIG on housing loans availed by the beneficiaries for 20 years under credit link subsidy scheme (CLSS) from the start of a loan. All the country’s major cities are included in the plan, which helps to make eligible people able to make their own houses.

Step 1: The Candidate should visit the official PMAY website to fill out an online application for PMAY using an Aadhaar card and a Virtual ID.
Step 2: After reaching the home page, click on Citizen Amendment and then Apply Online.
Step 3: Four options will appear on your screen here, the applicant clicks the apply online option. The applicant can select the option based on their needs.
Step 4: After opening the new page, the applicant needs to provide their name and Aadhar number.
Step 5: Then, the applicant can fill out the information, review the application form, and select Check.
Step 6: You will see an application form on your screen here, enter all your details to fill out all fields and attach all necessary documentation.
Step 7: After entering all the information, check it and select the “Save” option.
Step 8: Then, the candidate will generate an application ID to specify that the process is finished after selecting the Save option.
